The travel section's title is "Destination Dreamland - these hotels and villas will make your dreams come true". 16 hotels and 8 villas around the globe are presented - Katitche Point Greathouse is is included and called "A Private Paradise". The new German Life Style Magazine MY LIFE for upmarket readers presents in its Autumn 2004 edition 12 dream destinations around the globe. KATITCHE POINT GREATHOUSE is presented as one of the twelve most beautifull places along with famous locations Fregate Island and the Meridien Bora Bora. Sueddeutsche
Zeitung, a leading national newspaper in Germany, included a weekend
journal-supplement about weddings and honeymoons. The travel
section recommended 10 top hotels and villas worldwide for honeymooners
- the only one in the Caribbean was Katitche Point with our special package
"Elegant Romance for Two". The article began with "Looking
for paradise? This one offers 22,000 square feet living space and so many
bedroom-suites that you could stay in a different one each night. A full
time maid for your service is included."
The Travel Channel in the UK did a series "Cool Caribbean" Part one, aired on February 3, 2004, and featured Katitche Point for 10 minutes as "the most stunning villa they've ever seen".
The April 2004 issue of Caribbean Travel & Life featured Katitche Point Villa as an editor's choice. WALLPAPER
magazine featuring interiors, artchitecture, art, fashion, and travel,
included Katitiche Point Villa in its November 2003 issue and headlined
it as "Virgin Gorda's villa idyll.
ELITE TRAVELER magazine featured Katitche Point Greathouse in the May/June 2003 issue. "Guests who like the intimach of a villa but also want privacy from even their nearest and dearest can find both." The Third Edition of The Best of the British Islands include Katitche Point Greathouse. "For a luxurious splurge for up to 10 people (or just the two of you), rent this fabulous villa out on a point with spectacular views of water and distant islands." The Klocke Publishing Company has produced a new book for the Frankfurt book fair, called Island Paradise by Klocke Verlag. It features 36 best island hotels and resorts around the world. The Caribbean has its own section; the BVI is represented by Necker Island, Little Dix Bay, and Katitche Point Greathouse. Six beautifully designed pages describe this “Mini-Hideway with the luxurious 5 suites as a retreat without comparison." Hideaways is a very prestigious travel magazine for the world's most beautiful hotels and destinations. The September 2001 edition featured Katitche Point Greathouse on the title page. A two page report on "an eagle's nest in Virgin Gorda" describes the Greathouse as one of “the best hideaways in the BVI". Madame,
a leading fashion magazine featured Katitche Point in the January 2002
issue. Described as a "luxurious holiday destination for large families",
the article includes "the three story Greathouse is privately located near
one of the most beautiful beaches in Virgin Gorda and holds up to 13 guests
for a dream holiday. Fine porcelain, French linens, Bose-stereo system,
and a modern Viking kitchen provide elegant surroundings. Housekeeper
and gardener are included in rates".
A new book called "The Best Designed Hotels in the Caribbean and South America" includes Katitche Point Greathouse since the villa "offers all the comfort and service you could imagine in a luxury resort, not to mention a standard of furnishing and a location that are as exclusive as you could hope to find". Sunday Times of Great Britain described Katitche Point Villa as being perched high on a rocky outcrop on the west coast of Virgin Gorda and commands views over Sir Francis Drake Channel, where the Caribbean meets the Atlantic, best viewed while sipping a rum punch on the teak deck, or swinging gently in a hammock by the villa's horizon pool. ![]() abenteuer und reisen (Adventures and Travel - January
2002) publication highlighted Katitche in its Guide to British Virgin Islands.
The author thought that Katitche Point Greathouse is one of the most beautiful
houses he has seen worldwide.
Katitche Point Greathouse is featured on one of the posters of the BVI Tourist Board to promote the British Virgin Islands. The view is from the pool deck of the Greathouse onto the Sir Francis Drake Channel. The owners of KPG feel very proud and honored to be represented in this campaign. ![]() The third largest national newspaper in Germany "Die Welt" featured a half page picture of Katitche Point Greathouse in their travel section on May 10th, 2002. They did a special on the most amazing rental houses around the globe, calling the theme "luxuriance for a limited time" as the future for the expecting traveler. They suggest that the rental of private holiday homes is the coming trend.
In The Financial Times of November 23rd, 2002, James Henderson reports on "Top spots on your Caribbean villa wish-list". He writes about Katitche Point Greathouse having "five rooms and an infinity pool with a fantastic view over the Sir Francis Drake Channel to Tortola and the Dogs". In
the travel-article "A Fresh Start", the esteemed british magazine
THE ESQUIRE (November 2002) writes about Katitche Point Greathouse:
"This is a new, yet traditionally styled, Caribbean great house on a headland
on Virgin Gorda, one of the most picturesque of the British Virgin Islands.
It offers perhaps the best view from any pool in the West Indies - over
its infinity edge you gaze across turquoise sea to the distant islands.
There are five spacious bedrooms (all with terraces and sea views), hammocks
and loungers, a Bose music system, pool bar and gardens. Three white
sand beaches, snorkeling, diving and boat hire are all nearby. A
chef is also available on request."
